A friend of mine booked a flying lesson for his beloved at Moyne Flying School just outside Thurles, Co. Tipperary. In the run up to the big day he got a large sheet of black plastic polythene and painted the words Maura Will You Marry Me? on to it in white paint large enough so that she could see it from the air. The pilot was in on the scheme and knew to fly over the spot where Paul was going to place the sheet of plastic. To make sure she saw it the pilot circled the spot 3 times. Of course Maura said Yes and now Paul is known as the most romantic guy around.
